Sunday, September 8th 7:30 am Registration/Activities 8:30 am Announcements 8:35 am Balloon Launch 8:45 am Prepare to Race 9:00 am Race Start Location: RMU Island Sports Center, 7600 Grand Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15225 Parking: Participants can park in designated parking at RMU Island Sports Center or across the street at Paradise Island Bowl and Point Spring & Driveshaft Co. What time should I arrive? Plan to arrive about an hour before the race so you can be sure to find a parking spot, use the restroom and familiarize yourself with the start line. When can I pick up my shirt and bib? You can pick up your shirt and bib early at RMU Island Sports Center – Main entrance of hockey rink: Friday, September 6th, 6:00pm-8:00pm Saturday, September 7th, 10:00am-5:00pm If you cannot make it during the above times, you can simply pick up your shirt and bib on race day starting at 7:30am. If I want to run with a pace group from Steel City Road Runners, how will I find them? Pacers will be on-site that morning, near the start line. You can identify them by their hand-held signs that list the pace times. Will there be activities before the race? Yes! Allow additional time before the race and bring cash so that you can participate in our huge auction that will include over 60 baskets and prizes! We will also be holding a 50/50 raffle from the entire weekend of events which, in the past, has totaled over $1,000! Get your photo taken with our special guest before or after the race (depending on when he arrives) – the Pittsburgh Penguins Iceburgh! Also, enjoy some cool tunes that our DJ will be playing. Will there be refreshments after the race? Yes! Participants will enjoy pizza, water, Gatorade, bananas, smiley cookies and more after the run. How can I find my results?
